Who can be a member of PTAShop.co.uk?
Any School or Club can be a member of the PTA fundraising scheme, go to register and complete the form.
We welcome all kinds of Clubs including; sports clubs, social clubs and kids clubs ie Scouts & Girl Guides.
Do we have to pay to register?
No - this website is a free service.
How is a donation generated?
By clicking into a retailer via this website creates a tracking link which enables the retailer to track back to the PTAShop. The merchant then pays the PTAShop a commission for referring a customer, which in turn generates a cash donation to your school or club. Depending on where you buy and what you buy determines what donation is received. You will see next to each shop that we have displayed how much will be donated.
Am I dealing with the retailer or with the PTA Shop?
You still deal directly with each retailer, you just need to make sure you click into the retailer via a link from PTAShop.
How long does it take for a donation to paid?
Depending on the purchase, some merchants take up to 90 days to pay commission to allow for customers to return/cancel their purchase. Once a commission has been paid the donation will be stored in the school’s account and depending on the school’s arrangement, donations will be given monthly or quarterly. Donations are marked “pending” in your account until the merchant has paid.
How will we know how much has been raised for our school / club fund?
This will clearly be displayed on the home page of your shop and updated weekly.
What happens if I return my purchase?
Your donation will be cancelled. Merchants will not pay a donation immediately therefore all donations are stated as “pending” to allow you to return your purchases.
How does the Amazon donation scheme work?
Currently the donation amount is 2% of all purchases at Amazon but this is capped at a maximum of £5.00 per order. If you are going to be purchasing an expensive electronic item it maybe best to use a specified Electrical Merchant in order for you to earn a higher donation.
Missing Transactions
All transactions are logged by the merchants who in turn pass on the details of due donations to the PTA Shop electronically. Some merchants only pass donation payments after their guarantee or returns period has expired - this can take 30-120 days. Alternatively it may be that either you were not correctly on your member page before making the purchase or that the merchant’s system has failed.
If your transaction is missing from this page please email joanne@ptashop.co.uk with the following details: Date of purchase, Merchant, Purchase Amount and a relevant order number. Your query will be investigated immediately.
How do we get our money
Payments are sent by cheque, made payable to the school or organisation or dedicated PTA account. Payments are sent out Quarterly in March, June, September, December. Your account must have reached a “confirmed” amount of £50 or above for a payment to be generated. If you have reached your threshold and do not wish to wait for the next scheduled payment you may send an email to request your payment to joanne@ptashop.co.uk.
